Help! Soccer gear for 2.5 yr old?

I signed Ryan up for soccer classes (Daddy & Me soccer) and it starts tomorrow.  I was under the impression that because it's the youngest class offered, they wouldn't need any "gear" but apparently shin guards and cleats are required.  Where can I find soccer gear in the northend (Lynnwood/Bothell/Woodinville)??  Help!  TIA!

Or you could call Arena sports for some ideas - they have a lil kickers program and might know where you can buy equipment (or sell it themselves)

I would probably call around to Play it Again Sports to see if they have any little gear (because I'm cheap!) but there is a soccer store (Soccer West) in Lynnwood. I'm sure they'd have the right gear.

I would start at Play it again sports - after that Target will have them for inexpensive!

I would just start calling around to the sports shops, maybe even try target or a consignment store.

Are you sure shin guards are required?  Cruz is doing lil kickers and they don't require soccer shoes or shin guards until they are 5.  I did however buy him soccer shoes at arena sports on willows road in redmond.  I think they were around $25 which was pretty reasonable.  I also however found soccer shoes at fred meyer.

Crazy they need them that young.  Try Play It Again, they tend to have a good selection of kid stuff.

I signed Connor up for fall soccer and he too has to have shin guards and cleats...crazy huh?! Glad you asked the question I had no idea where I'd look for these in toddler size. I'll be checking out Play it Again Sports come September!
