I called this morning. My OB is out of the office this morning, probably delivering a baby. But a nurse called me back and basically said that it's totally normal. I honestly don't feel like it's all that common to be sitting and feel like you're going to black out, but whatever. She told me to eat more iron-rich and protein-rich foods, more frequently and drink OJ with them because the Vitamin C helps your body absorb the iron/protein.
She also said that since my OB hadn't signed off on any of my results, she couldn't discuss them with me. I hope this means that they ran my tests last night and I should know whether I am actually anemic or I need to come in for more testing for GD. I wouldn't care at this point, I just want some answers. I've heard women say they were lightheaded, but nobody seems to think this is normal. I cry five or six times a day because I feel so awful! Thank goodness my husband is on vacation this week and is taking care of me!
Re: F/U Lightheaded post (more updates)
Apparently it's Vertigo. It's quite unpleasant and the test they did made me super queasy. I had to lie back with my head a little lower than the hospital bed, and I thought I was going to pass out. And then throw up.
I'm on a motion sickness medicine that's supposed to help with the dizziness. And I have stretches they want me to attempt. The doctor said that it might be too much for me to do with my big pregnant belly :-) Hopefully it'll go away soon!
