PPD

Anyone having any issues with post partum depression? If so, how did you know that it was that and not something else? My husband says he doesn't see any signs of depression in me but I'm questioning myself. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Re: PPD

  • my dr told my dh that he was in charge of looking for ppd...i think cause people are probably in denial. I wonder about myself too but dh says i seem fine. sigh!

  • I was afraid I had it too. The 1st 3 1/2 weeks I cried almost everyday & had very few "happy"  moments which then made me feel guilty & made it worse. I've talked with my Dr's about it and the last week or so I've felt great. For me it was just dealing with the adjustment, being overwhelmed, and being super stressed (moving to another state next weekend, starting a new job only 7weeks PP, and building a house) - obviously took on a bit too much.  So I think I just had Baby Blues.

I'd talk to your Dr. It really does help talking about it.
