Gotta love living in the mitten! I moved up here for undergrad and remember everyone introducing themselves that way when they would say where they were from. It seemed so strange at the time!

Gotta love the hand pointing...I'm from Northern Michigan. My sister lives in the Ann Arbor area, we're actually meeting halfway tomorrow to hang out for the day.

About 30 minutes outside of St. Louis, MO. Lived here my whole life so far and have continued to stay within 30-45minutes of the city throughout various moves.

But I did live in Bloomington, IN for college for a year and loved the college/small town feel.

I am from Blackstone, close to Woonsocket but very different because my town is really not city-like at all (one stop light, maybe 10,000 people). We go back on occasion because my sister lives in Smithfield.

I loooved Lahaina! We were there last year. I'm jealous!

DH is a born and raised "local boy" and used to play sing in a Hawaiian band. All I can think of when I hear Lahaina is the song "In Lahaina, where the mangos are sweet, and the centipedes crawl all over your feet." LOL Lahaina would be an awesome place to live though.

Born and raised in a small town in Orange County, NY, near the NY-NJ-PA border (it's not at all upstate, but people from NYC or Long Island would say it is!). Went to college in Baltimore and with a few stops in between, I now live in Toronto.

I grew up in Bismarck. My family left just before my senior year, though, so I've been back maybe twice since graduating. (thankgod.)
