running with 2 month old question

I just got a Baby Trend Expedition off Craigslist. When I went to go buy my running shoes, the saleslady asked if I had an infant adapter thing. I didn't know I couldn't put DS in the stroller by himself.

any insight?

edit: I saw I can use the infant seat in there but shouldn't run until he's 6 months...hummm

and, actually I just wasted $50 because I washed the seat and stuff and it fell apart in the wash.

  • you're not supposed to run with a baby in any stroller until they can sit well on their own

In response to the rest of your question...

I'd highly suggest that you talk to your pediatrician about your LO's readiness to ride in a jogging stroller. Our pediatrician cleared us to run on relatively smooth paths with our LO in the infant car seat at his two month appointment (after she evaluated his current level of head control). She would not have cleared us if he had significantly less developed head control, so it's not a default "it's okay at 2 months" thing.

It is my understanding that children are not supposed to be placed directly in the seat of the jogger until they're able to sit well (which is what the 6 month guideline is based off of).
