A few labor related Qs...

I've been wondering...

Do you always have the 'bloody show'?

Can you miss losing your mucus plug? (like it comes out while going to the bathroom)

Can you feel when you lose the mucus plug or with the bloody show? (which give you a reason to go to the bathroom and go check)

And is your stomach sore after giving birth, vaginally? (I just really want to be able sleep on my stomach)

Thanks!

  • I didn't have MP or bloody show. Water broke with both kids. Your boobs and abdomen will be sore, but you can sleep on them.

    I've been wondering...

Do you always have the 'bloody show'?- No

Can you miss losing your mucus plug? (like it comes out while going to the bathroom)- Yes

Can you feel when you lose the mucus plug or with the bloody show? (which give you a reason to go to the bathroom and go check)- I felt like I had slimy goo in my pants. So I went to check and there was this clear glob of snot looking stuff.

And is your stomach sore after giving birth, vaginally? (I just really want to be able sleep on my stomach)- Idk I had a c-section, but I can already lay on my stomach. I just don't want to because of my boobs. It hurts to lay on them and If you lay on them for too long you can clog a duct.

    Thanks!

Do you always have the 'bloody show'?  You might not have it until you're in labor.

Can you miss losing your mucus plug? (like it comes out while going to the bathroom)  You can miss it or never lose it until labor.

Can you feel when you lose the mucus plug or with the bloody show? (which give you a reason to go to the bathroom and go check)  Not really, due to being so wet down there anyway

And is your stomach sore after giving birth, vaginally? (I just really want to be able sleep on my stomach)  I wasn't.  Slept on my tummy until my milk came in and then I had to stop until I wasn't engorged anymore.

    Thanks!

  • I never noticed bloody show or losing my mucus plug, so I never felt this happening either.

I only remember my stomach being sore when the nurses or I would massage my uterus to help it start shrinking back.  I think it was fine to sleep on it.
