3u3 anyone- Logistics?

Im still in shock that we will have 3u 3 (well really 3 under 2.5). Im just wondering how that works with getting out of the house or should I just not attempt that at that point? Like grocery shopping - not enough room in the cart for 3 kids plus groceries? Im hoping DD will be old enough to just walk with me but 2.5 seems like its going to be a rough age.

I don't know, girl, but I feel for you! I'm freaking out about 2u2, I couldn't possibly imagine 3!! Did you plan this?? Do you guys not have a TV, or something? (just kidding!, this is what people asked us when I got pregnant after 3 months of giving birth!).

On a serious note, I hope you have a good support system and are comfortable asking for and accepting help. I think that will make the most difference. In the end, though, your maternal instincts always prevail and you will make it work Just remember to take some time, a little bit of time here and there, to nurture yourself. 3 babies can be wonderful but very draining, so you HAVE to take good care of yourself in order to be  there for them 100%.

I would think it would be doable. Just like 2u2, I'm sure you'll find a routine that will work in time. Offhand, I would think to go run an errand, you'd wear the baby in a carrier, the oldest in the cart, and the 2nd child in the seat in the cart. By the time she's 3, she can probably walk with you in the grocery store and listen, so it wont be too tough for that long.

Your ticker is a riot, BTW. Congrats and GL! You are a braver woman than I am.

My cousin had her third on the 29th her oldest will be three next month.. now she's not out of the hospital yet but she made it alive.with 2u2 as did you I think it'll be okay! But she has a daycare/sitter she pawns her kids off on a lot.

I love the idea of one in a sling one floor and another.cart.. the grocery store I worked at even had a double seater cart so could be two in cart one in sling. You'll work it out! Congrats by the way

By the time we had #3 I put DS1 in preschool part time (three mornings per week), so I would run errands right after I dropped him off at school, and by the time I was done, it was time to pick him up.  I still took the younger two with me, but that was just like 2 under 2 again.  Other times I would just wait for DH to come home so I could go out alone, we also became a fan of the "family trip" to the grocery store.  The kids enjoyed and learned a lot when we all went to the store. While pregnant I also had DS1 practice holding my hand and walking, and holding the stroller and walking so he was used to it by the time the baby came. GL, I'm sure you will find a routine that works for you!

Thanks for the encouragement ladies. Im seriously freaking out but trying to stay positive. This definetly wasnt planned (none of the kids were). We wanted to have more in the future but wait until our 2nd was at least 18 months. OH well! Im sure it will be great when they are all old enough to play together. Good thing is I do have a great support system and a very helpful husband who knows how important it is that I have "me" time. Im mostly worried about never leaving the house again because I start to go crazy if I cant get out everyday.

I took all five to the lake/beach last week myself, so its possible!   Plan ahead and going out everyday can happen! My mom comes with me when she is free, but if she isn't that doesn't slow us down

wow! I was proud because I managed going to the pool with an 18 month old and a 5 month old this week alone-you are supermom!

we just found out that we are expecting again. I'm not sure how it will all work out, but can't be too much harder, I'm already outnumbered during the day now!
