Has anyone used egg whites?

I was reading up on increasing CM. I am currently taking allergy medication that I have to be on, otherwise I have breathing issues due to also having asthma. While I read about the typical increase water intake, green tea and pre-seed I also came across a website (https://www.babyhopes.com/articles/can-egg-whites-help-me-get-pregnant.html sorry not clicky) that says egg whites can help if someone has little to no CM. I am not actually sure how I feel about sticking egg whites up there, but it got me thinking whether anyone has tried it.

Have you tried it? If not is it something you would try?

I've never tried that, and never would. Sounds like a yeast infection waiting to happen.

I think you should look into Pre-Seed. You can get it at CVS and other pharmacies over the counter. It mimicks fertile cm. 

I'm not a big fan of using things except for what they're supposed to be for. And that screams risk of infection to me.

I was not planning on trying this, like I said I am not sure how I feel about it. I was just wondering what others thought or if any one has ever tried it.

There are a lot of things you can do to increase CM. Someone already mentioned preseed. Also, Robitussin (guastif-something is the ingredient you need). Google it and talk with your doctor. Good luck.

You're not even supposed to eat raw egg white, let alone stick them in places...I'd never try this. I don't want to imagine the infection you'd end up with.

I prefer to keep my eggwhites in my omelettes, TYVM.  Maybe with a little cheese and some mushrooms.

preseed and mucinex (not the DM kind) are 2 things you can use to increase fertile cm

 

Egg whites on the other hand, i wouldnt even be able to  focus on sex thinking about what texture the egg whites where in...ewww

I remember reading about it in TCOYF, however, it was an anecdotal story, not a recommendation.

yeah I would never think about sticking some type of food product up there. Its just unnatural and shouldn't be done.. I think preseed works fantastically!

These are direct quotes from my version of TCOYF:

 "The only product  that seems to provide necessary lubrication without harming sperm is real eggwhite"

"Real eggwhites can be used as a lubricant in cases where the woman herself doesn't produce much fertile-quality cervical fluid; it should be at room temperature"

"if the need to, they should only use eggwhites for lubrication"

 It's definitely real and was seriously recommended by Toni Weschler, MPH, the author of the "ttc bible".

HOWEVER, the book's from 1995, before preseed or any type product existed. I bet if you were to ask the author now, she'd veto her old suggestion in favor of the more mainstream, hygienic, simpler-to-use products.

If its meant to be used in the kitchen, it stays in the kitchen. Pre-seed is good though.
