How to write my thank you notes for a group cash gift

My office had a baby shower and some of them gave gifts but some just gave the boss money and they chipped in on a visa gift card.  I am struggling with how to word the thank you cards. I don't know how much each person contributed.   Any suggestions on how to word the thank you cards?

"Thank you for your cash contribution"?  

"Thank you for the Visa gift card group gift"?

Nothing sounds right

Thank you so much for your very generous gift.  I plan on using it towards xyz.

"Thank you so much for the gift card.  It will be so helpful when DH and I go to purchase X. "

No need to point out how much each contributed, as each person deserves a thanks regardless of the amount.  As PP said,  thank each person for thinking of you and your new addition (big congrats by the way!) and let them know how you intend to spend the gift.  If you already have bought stuff with it, pics would be a bonus.

We got a ton of gift cards and visa gift cards as gifts and didn't necessarily know what we would get so our cards went something like...

Thank you so much for the generous gift.  It will be so helpful in setting up our nursery and preparing for LOs arrival.

I wrote  "Thank you for the giftcard. It will be very helpful getting all of those odds and ends that Baby Alex will need." Since it was family I added how I was looking forward to them meeting him and so on.
