Cloth Diapering

Kawaii Users: Does this happen to you? (PIP)

I'm new to pockets in general (we've mainly used prefolds) so my experience is limited but I've been getting some leaks up the back.

I'm 99% sure it's because the cloth inside is sneaking up outside of the diaper as pictured. I've tried tucking it in but that's not a fool-proof fix since it will still creep up at times.

Thoughts?

  • I haven't tried Kawaii, but this would happen with our other pockets *FB and Blueberry), just in the front instead of the back. His clothes would touch the bit of cloth that got turned outward and get all wet.  I didn't really find a solution, but am happy I tried BG diapers because they have a waterproof strip right where we had the problem, so it doesn't happen with those.

  • Hmm, strange. I use Kawaii but haven't had this problem. Are they tight enough? Have you tried making sure all of the fleecey parts are tucked in before doing up the snaps/velcro? I'll look at my DD's OTB tomorrow and see if i can think of any other solutions!!

  • That does happen to us sometimes. I pull the back up and re-fasten the diaper and it usually works for us.

This. My guess is that it needs to be tighter.
