trivisol

i posted about vitamin d supplements a few days ago but i am still have a few questions on the matter. recap: when i went for my daughters one month appointment her doctor recommended us to put her on vitamin d supplements. yesterday i made the decision i was going to give them to her. and when i went to walgreens the one the doctor had told us to give her is called tivisol and i didnt know it was a combination medicine of vitamin a/c/d. is there a reason he would tell me to give her all three when they only one talked about in the meeting was vitamin d? is that a good vitamin d supplement?

Re: trivisol

  • It's the one recommended by most pedis, I'm pretty sure.

  • As far as there being a reason he rec these & not just D drops, thats a question I'd call my Pedi for rather than our advice.
  • Our pediatrician recommended the same thing and we only discussed needing Vit D as well. I figure it's not a big deal to get the Vit A and C at the same time. They do have just vit D drops (D-Vi-Sol) though.

  • Our ped gave us D-Vi-Sol.  I'm EBFing.
