I'd love to find out - if you've adopted privately, independently, how did you find your birth mom? (newspaper ad, facebook, friend, pass along card...)

Wondering if things like pass along cards and networking through friends really works. Would love to come across a survey like this if anyone knows of one. Thank you!

Our failed match was a friend of a friend. I know networking can work, and I think it's always worth it to just get your name and story out there. You never know.

I have 2 friends who both adopted newborns through networking.

Our situation was very similar. If we adopt again, well send our profile books to my doctor, our SW, and both attorneys we worked with. Our BM had 3 potential families all from word of mouth networking through a teacher, doctor, and the group that hooked us up.
