I am new to the board, so bare with me as I don't know the short hand...
Last October I went off birth control because it was giving me migraines. I had been on about 10 different brands/types and they all gave me migraines. I had been on them for about 14 years. Originally I was put on them because I had a normal period for my first year and then it quit. The doctors had given me shots and pills trying to make me have one and it didn't work. So, they put me on birth control and I had one. My mom had the same problem when she was younger but had to go off them about 5 years after she started because she got cervical cancer and the doctors thought it was related (at the time the birth control wasn't as controlled and had way higher hormone levels). She got pregnant about 2 months after going off them. So, back to me. My first period since going off the pill was in april. I was just about to go to the doctor, i had an appointment and everything, but then i got my period and thought i was going to be back to normal. It lasted for four days and was insanely heavy. I haven't had one since. I'm wondering if anyone has had this, if i should go to the doctor, or if i should wait it out again. I am getting married at the end of July and after that we are going to TTC. I don't want this to mess it up, but i'm so busy it's hard to find the time. What do you guys think?
Re: TTC and no cycle?
Cycles can be long a few months after ending BC. But if its been over 60 days from your last AF, you should talk to your doctor. Especially considering your past history of this.
Have you taken a pregnancy test? Could that be the reason?
