Red Letter last few days for my LO!

LO was breech, so she was being watched for hip dysplasia. She had her final hip ultrasound last Thursday and it came back normal--no pavlik harness, woo hoo!  She goes back in Sept for an x-ray as a final precaution, but the ortho believes this will come back as normal, too.

LO also had some hemoglobin issues when she was born, due to Rh incompatibility. She was diagnosed Coombs Positive. Poor thing had blood work done to watch her hemoglobin issues every day we were in the hospital (6 days--I don't know if that much blood work is the norm or due to the hemoglobin issue) and then pretty much bi-weekly once we were discharged. Her hematologist feels this was due to the fact that the month before LO was conceived, I had an early miscarriage and the ob/gyn practice I was seeing at the time didn't treat me as such and didn't give me an Rh shot (yes, I did find a much better ob/gyn practice). Anyway, LO's hemoglobin is finally at a normal level--no anemia, woo hoo!

The hematologist told me that my LO is in the 90th percentile for weight. She's 14 lbs and some change :)  Loving my little chunka monk!
