Holiday World? jumping over with a question

Hello there. I am from Ohio but will be meeting up with friends to go to Holiday World. I was hoping maybe someone here would have some insight for me on where to stay/not to stay. I think we'll be making the drive over on a saturday afternoon while DD naps then stay somewhere nearby that night. We are visiting Holiday World on a sunday.

I did a quick look and see there is a place to stay right there but it seems expensive. What would be a good place to stay that is close enough but will be cheaper. Also if you've been before any tips that you have for me would be great. Any other activities in the area we should do.

sorry i can't help - i've never been.  but good luck and enjoy your trip!

There are a couple of hotels about 7 miles up the road in Dale, IN.  Also, there is Lincoln State Park.  It has a replicated village of Abraham Lincolns home and his neighbors with people dressed up in period clothing.  Abraham Lincoln's mother is also buried there.

Yup!  It is maybe 2-3 miles up the road from Holiday World!  It's lots of fun!

There is also a Comfort Inn in Ferdinand Indiana.  Never stayed there before but live in the area.  Ferdinand is probably 5-10 miles from Santa Claus also.  Not far.  We have stayed at Santa's Lodge and it was kind of neat, older but Christmas decorated.
