HSARTTEACH/Joyco

Is there a how to on the father's day present you made with the longhorn?  I wanted to steal the DAD photo idea but between V having a stomach bug, me being sick, leaving one job and starting another, and house hunting this past week...well, it hasn't happened.  He's not a longhorn fan but we could do it with something Boston!

TIA!

Re: HSARTTEACH/Joyco

  • Here's the linky. I saw it on the nest craft board.

I don't know what Joyco used...meaning if she used contact paper or what.

There's a good tip about letting the colors dry between colors if you want them not to get all blended.

Let us know if you do it and how it turns out! (Also, if you have any other ?s.)

  • Yes, I used contact paper--I printed out a picture from the internet, cut that out, traced it on to the contact paper and then cut that out (lots of steps!).  Stuck that on to the canvas (we used the boxy ones, not the flat canvases) and let the boys paint.  I didn't let the different paints dry between layers b/c I wanted a more muddled orange to get closer to "burnt" orange rather than a brighter orange.  Worked!
  • awesome - going to try to whip this out tomorrow!!
