I got mine from the remnants section of Joanne's. They are 1/2 off.

Any fleece should work.  I ordered microfleece from Kids in the Garden to make pocket diapers and have been using scraps from that, but next time I'll probably just hit the JoAnn's remnant bin :P

This. And wait until fleece is on sale for 50% off (which it almost always is), and then it's half off half off, i.e. 75% off. You shouldn't pay any more than about $2/yard.
