New to The Bump

New to message boards.. help with lingo!

Just a few questions... I keep seeing "DS", "DH" and "LO", stuff like that... can ANYONE clear up what they all stand for? I think LO is little one, but I'm just guessing.

Thanks!

  • I'm finding out what several of them are, but I think that a lot of people use them to try to feel cool.

Meh, it's like abbreviating anything else in life. We type a lot, so we take short cuts occasionally. Plus, I'm not going to type out my husbands name because I try to be internet safe and not release too much info. That combined with typing out "My husband" gets long after a while, so I refer to him as DH here, and my in-laws as ILs.

same here. It's much easier than spelling it out all the time. These are commonly used phrases and words, so it's much easier to post using abbreviations...
