My 12 month old still prefers baby food and I'm trying to switch her to table food. She will not put anything in her mough that she doesn't like to touch with her fingers. Need some ideas for my picky little eater.
Also, she will not drink her milk from her sippy, only from a bottle. She drinks water and juice fine from her sippy. Any advice?
Re: Help! What is your 12 mth old eating??
Not sure what foods you've tried with your daughter but this is what mine will eat--toast, tofu, grapes, pasta, shredded cheese, cheerios, puffs, yogurt melts, peas, corn, string beans, melon and blueberries. I would keep trying different foods and textures. It took her about 2 weeks of trying before she would eat anything other than a puree but once she figured out that the finger food stuff was actually food, she started eating everything. If you really cannot get her to eat anything that is not pureed after trying over several weeks, you may want to ask your pedi if she needs to see a feeding therapist.

DS eats pretty much anything I will put down in front of him. PB&J, peas, spaghetti, lasagna, bananas, grapes, blueberry waffles, muffins, puffs, baby cheetos by Happy Baby, muffin tops, macaroni, graham cracker sticks, chicken fingers, etc. I didn't want to give him chicken fingers yet, but I tried every other way to give him meat and he refused to eat it. I just keep trying to reintroduce foods and he tries different things that he decides he likes. Just keep trying and don't give up!
What kind of sippy cup and bottle does she use? We used Tommee Tippee bottles and then switched him to the 6 mo+ sippy cups with the soft spouts that feel a lot like the nipple and the bottles are the same shape also. We started the sippy at 9 months since he's on soy and was given the go ahead at that check-up. He hasn't had any problems switching from bottle to sippy.
