If you don't wash your hands after peeing...

  • What really sucks is our university barely turns on the warm water in the bathrooms, even in the winter. Heat and friction are really the two best factors for killing the germs. And you know those college kids are probably skipping this step...

The soap and friction are doing the germ killing, not the heat. I highly doubt you are washing your hands in water hot enough to kill germs unless you are scalding yourself every time you wash your hands.

    And excellent question LoisLane.

    no
  • People really spend this much time paying attention to who washes their hands?

You touch things that are much more germy than than pee on a daily basis, I guarantee it.

  • Ok, SO... I wash my hands; every.time. I also wash my hands every.time I change dd's diaper.

I don't touch the toilet flusher, I use my foot. If I'm in public I don't touch the stall door or the bathroom door, I use paper towels. And I'll still be known to use anti-bac after that.

So why the EFF am I the one who's freaking sick right now??? Huh, DnD?? :D

  • Not only that, but if you're going to wash your hands, actually wash them...with soap.  I see people come to the sink, stick just their fingers in the water for 2 seconds and dry off.  That's not washing!

That is disgusting.  Even if you're convinced that you get no urine on your hands and that you're fine, washing your hands each time you use the bathroom (whether at home or in public) is good because of all the germs you've picked up through out the day.

PP, I doubt that you go to the bathroom 40 times a day (and no, you do not need to use 3 mintues of washing each time, its 20-30 seconds), and going frequently is no excuse anyway.  I pee all.the.time. and am capable of washing my hands to prevent the spread of germs.

I worked as a full-time teacher in a daycare with 12 two year olds.  I changed 36+ diapers a day sometimes.  Plus my extremely frequent peeing, bleaching the tables, sweeping the floor, washing during/before lunch, snack and breakfast, as well as helping kids wash their own hands, I was washing my hands 75-100 times a day.  If a kid was sick, I washed my hands even more (as well as the kids). There is no excuse for not washing your hands in my opinion.  I judge, I judge you a lot.  I'll be sure to wash my hands after I fvck myself.

  • what if you  drip dry and use both elbows to open the door?  seriously though, even if you do not get sterile pee on your hands while wiping, you still have to put your hand in an unsterile area, and sometimes a pretty gross area, especially if af is there!  wash after you wipe, unless you drip dry it is all good.

  • I need a shower after reading this.  Wash your freakin' hands people.  I used to stick my fingers in people's eyes for a living.  Can you imagine if I walked out of the bathroom, and said, I'll just use some antibacterial hand sanitizer or lotion?  fist of all, ouch that would sting like hell, but gross.

    WASH YOUR FREAKING HANDS.
