Abby loves to go "look at houses". We comment on the flowers, how big or small the trees are and if the houses are 1 story or 2 etc. Today we went driving through Sonoma in Round Rock before naptime. There are some gorgeous houses back there! I had actually told her we were 'all done' when I saw a house I wanted to take a picture of because I liked their roses and landscaping. I needed to turn around but really couldn't because of traffic etc and had to take a side street.

I just happened to go by a house that had a bunch of 2x4's out front leaning up against their trash can. Totally unstained and in perfect condition except a few screw holes. Our deck needs to be replaced but is pretty big and would cost a fortune. There are a bunch of boards that need to be replaced to make the deck safe again. They're not rotted, just chipped at edges etc. I could fit all but the longest 4 boards in the back of my SUV I did have to improvise a tie for the back using an HEB reusable shopping bag but it's all of 1 mile back to my house so it wasn't a huge deal, even the AC could keep up. But there was no safe way to get the last 4 home and DH works late tonight.

So excited! One less thing to spend money on to make my backyard beautiful again! What are the chances??? It would have been such a shame for all that wood to go to the landfill.
