up&up sensitive formula

To those of you that posted about your LO's being constipated on the up&up sensitive formula, but much better on Similac Sensitive...THANK YOU! We've had DS on the up&up version for a few weeks, and it's been such a mess....he was constipated, gassy, fussy, and showing signs of reflux. After reading a post about this formula the other day, I tried switching him to Similac and he's a different baby! Sooo much happier, and so are we! I can't believe the 2 formulas can be that different.

Re: up&up sensitive formula

  • Yep, we tried the Up&Up because the pedi told us it was the same as the Similac Sensitive she was already on but much cheaper. We could tell after one day she was having a bad reaction to it, and went back to the name brand. No problems from then on.

Some babies tolerate it fine, and they have lucky parents (in terms of the pocketbook.) But it was really obvious almost from the start that it wasn't going to work for DD.

  • Isn't it amazing how different 2 formulas that are supposedly the same can affect a baby? I felt horrible for putting DD through that! Back to the expensive stuff!

  • Thanks for letting me know.  I was considering trying it.  If you have a costco memebership they have the Similac Sensitive in the big containers for $27.  I think I figured it out and I was only saving .02 an ounce by using the target brand.
