The boys are starting preK in the fall and will be wearing uniforms. I was wondering how many I should get per kid. (Shirts, shorts, pants.) I mean, they're three, so they'll probably tough on the clothes, and I don't want to do laundry every day. But they're not cheap, either.
Ugh.

Oh gosh, that' a lot of shirts, I would start out with maybe 3/4 shirts for each, and do laundry every other day?.
Your boys are adorable btw.
Do you have to buy their uniforms or can you get the same basic thing somewhere else?
If you have to get it from them I would buy at least 4 shirts/shorts each.
If you can get them elsewhere I would stock up. You can find basic uniform pieces at wm & target as well as online.

I'm still waiting to find out if I can get the shorts/pants/shoes elsewhere. I hope so!
If I get 9 pieces of each, I'm looking at $600. Ugh.

My nieces go to private school and they have to buy certain things through the school uniform place. They have to buy the jumpers and skirts because they are the school plaid and boys have to buy the sweater and tie because it has the school emblem. Everything else except gym shirts can be bought at other places.
If its just white shirts (or other colors) maybe you can buy them somewhere else same with pants. Target, old navy kohls all have the basic khaki, navy blue pieces.

I would buy at least 3 full uniforms for each boy if you can get them other places. Then extra shirts. If they totally destroy the pants you can do laundry twice a week and they have a clean pair everyday.
Have you looked at other options for buying them. Walmart, Burlington Coat Factory, Target, etc. often sale uniform pieces online or in store. They are pretty cheap.
Anyhow I would get enough for each boy to have one each day and 3 additional (spare sets). My kids are murder on everything so I know extras would be needed.
Oh yeah, they will be doing this, but this is the school's first year! At least after this year, I shouldn't have to buy as much.

This is what we had for DD's uniform this past year:
3 pairs of pants
2 pairs of shorts (she wore leggings/tights under them in the winter.
2 short sleeved tshirts
2 long sleeved
2 school jackets.
AND
1 long sleeved shirt and 1 pair of pants for an 'emergency' in her cubby.
It worked out fine. We had to do laundry once mid-week, but it was better than spending another $350 on an extra set of uniforms.
Wow! Hopefully they'll say you can buy at least parts of it elsewhere, especially since the gently used ones are not available. Between Old Navy, Target, and Children's Place, I've never paid over $5 for a uniform shirt or shorts (pants and long sleeves are a little more ). With that, we bought at least a week's worth to start and then added winter pieces as the weather got colder.
If you have to buy the official uniforms, I think 3 sets for each adorable boy would work to start with laundry twice a week.
