Preferably on the north end of Cincy. We are on vacation right now, and DD had a rather severe reaction to food again. This is NOT the place to have that happen. I am fairly sure it is a peanut allergy. She only touched some peanut buttter. Didn't even eat any of it, and she had hives and red eyes within minutes, The the coughing and complaining about her mouth feeling "funny" started. I gave her a full dose of Benadryl elixir (after searching 3 different stores for it), and it went away completely within 30 minutes. I had only speculated about a food allergy until now. So I need to know who is good to see for testing, so I can ask for a specific referral from our pedi when we get home.
This has been one of the most interesting vacations we have ever been on. May be rethinking the trip to FL in September.
Re: Pediatric Allergist? I need recommendations
So scary. Peanuts are nothing to mess with for sure! As for your trip to Florida, are you flying? If she is that sensitive to peanuts, I would rethink flying.
I recommend the allergist that Katelyn sees (recommended to me by sprags). His name is Steve Sutton and he is with Allergy and Asthma associates. They have offices in Montgomery and Liberty Township/West Chester. Their number is 793-6861 and their website is: Allergy and Asthma Associates
