Consistency of Semen- Thick vs. Thin....

Sorry in advance if this is way TMI, but I have a question that I keep hearing mixed things about....

My DH's semen is very thick, and cogulates almost like EWCM (near identical to it actually).... and I wondered if that would have any effect on his sperm getting to where they need to be, is it better to have thicker semen or thinner semen? I know semen starts to break down around 5-20 minutes, but I am curious if because it is really thick it hinders their ability to swim around....I realize this sounds kind of silly lol so bare with me!

I heard that higher counts of sperm can cause it to be thicker, then also heard its because of dehydration, but DH drinks a lot of water etc.

I was just wondering if any of you ladies have read or heard anything about consistency etc.

There's a pretty wide range on what's "normal" for semen so don't worry.

That is reassuring to hear, I am not so much worried about how many he is packing in there but just if they can get around lol, thank you for your input!
