Food Allergy

Allergies and Eczema

DD had eczema pretty bad as a newborn, infant, and young toddler.  Around 2 years of age she didn't seem to have it anymore.  Just within the last few days I have notices patches on her neck and arms.  Thoughts?  New food sensitivity?  Seasonal allergy maybe?  We haven't changed detergent or soap.

Re: Allergies and Eczema

  • Could be seasonal. The more time we spend outside, the worse DD1's eczema seems to be.
  • Loading the player...
  • it could be seasonal allergies.  Also, did you introduce any new food in the past week?  Could it be a heat rash?
  • I'm betting on seasonal allergy.  DD's eczema is acting up, and I know it's because her seasonal allergies are as well.  Does she have diagnosis for different seasonal allergies?  DD is tree pollen, and a type of mold, and they are both in the atmosphere huge right now so she's miserable...

    Good luck!

She has never been tested for seasonal allergies.  We are headed for our peanut check-up on Friday, so I think I will bring it up then!

    Thanks, everyone!
