Food Allergy

So disappointed

Ds has a milk intolerance or allergy. Not sure. When I give him cheese products he gets major bloating and gas. We tried moving from mutes item to good start toddler gentle and that was a no go . Spit up everywhere. I'm afraid to even try goat milk. I'm not comfortable with trying soy.

Re: So disappointed

  • DD is allergic to dairy and soy (and eggs). She drinks rice milk and I add brown rice protein powder to it. She loves it! You should let your pedi know about his reactions, they might want to do some allergy testing on him.

  • whether she's allergic or intolerant, i would not give her any dairy for a while.  Try using rice milk (fortified) or almond milk.  I use rice milk for my son and oats milk for baking (thicker).  Buy Dayia cheese and see how she does without any dairy for a bit.

I'm on the same boat with soy. Soy has been getting a very bad rep lately.

  • Goats milk has a similar protein to dairy, and we were told to stay away.  We have used Coconut, almond, rice, and soy.  I feel that soy is fine in moderation, but that's just me.
