When the baby was born, they both slept in our room. DS slept in our bed and DD slept in the bassinet. At 4 months old, DD moved to her crib and DS was still in our bed. This week, we transitioned DS from our bed to a twin bed, so now they share a room again.
We plan on more kids, and we have a 3 bedroom house. The rooms for the kids are tiny, but when we have number 3 in his/her room, the older two will share when they are 2 and 3.5. We hope to get a bigger house in a few years, but I still like sibilings to share rooms for a bit, I think it eases fears for them.

The boys have a room, and the girls have a room. When we have a newborn they stay in our room for about 3-5 months (until they are only waking 1-2 times at night) and then they move in to their respective rooms.
Our plan is to have baby#2 sleep in our room for the first 6 months or so and then move him/her to DS room and they will share. He will be 2 by then and can transition into the twin bed and new sweet child can use the crib.
That's the plan. Here's to having them be able to share a room.
For the first few months DS was in our room and DD was in her own room. Now they are both in their own rooms.
