Caff-you gave information
that was helpful. I didn't find anything you said to be rude and MrsKyle
shouldn't have a reason to either. I don't think the problem is with
any one board, people on here can just be snarky sometimes. I always
hate when I come across a post where the response is "ok?" It's like if
you don't think the post is deserving of a response just don't respond!
And
Mrs.Liberty, I wasn't claiming that you were rude for warning her about
the board. I just thought it was unfortunate that the women of the
board were apparently snarky enough that you thought you had to provide a
warning for them!
On a separate note-sorry for assuming BOTB was
for those TTC. Typically when someone says they have "baby on the brain"
it means they want one/are actively trying for one. Now I'm
confused...what is the board for? lol
That was not bad at all, actually. And some of us lurk everywhere, FTR.
It wasn't awful, but it wasn't inviting.
Is
there anything in the TOS that a board has to be inviting? Nope. It is
common sense, though, and a widely accepted part of "netiquette" to
lurk before posting on any new forum you visit to get a general feel for
the community.
Nope, there's no rule about being nice. You should write a "netiquette" book so no one else makes such an egregious error.
I
suggest reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility, charting with a basel
body thermometer, and signing up for Fertility Friend and doing their
tutorials to learn all about TTC
And
this is precisely the information given to the OP on BOTB, as well....
Perhaps it's less "rude" when it comes from your 'net-buddies.

Funny enough, there are LOTS of netiquette guides out there regarding forum posting. Here's a good one.
Each forum has its own
culture and nuances. Maybe using Netspeak is the norm and typing in
plain English is conspicuous. Maybe you should be rude and load your
posts with swears. Read a few threads before you post. Some people will
read forums for weeks or even months before they contribute. While that
may be overdoing it, you should at least get a handle on the personality
of the forum.
cyber bullies... i dont understand why people cannot be nice online... i wonder if they are that way IRL
I
spend most of my day kicking puppies and pushing over old ladies.
Sometimes I steal candy from small children when I'm feeling real
feisty. Otherwise I'm a very friendly girl.

Oh my goodness, oh. my. goodness. That has truly made my day.
Who's going to be the one to suggest it on the D&R board?!
Awesome. I only said that because it was so random. "I'm here, and I'm gonna start humping my husband with a purpose!" Soo.... okay? Who cares?
