Went to 24 Hr Emergency Care
B: nothing major; bacterial conjunctivitis; script for an eye ointment
Me: still nothing major; white pustules on my throat (niiiice) but lungs are clear; script for Z-pac and cough medicine (some kind of tablets that haven't been tested for bfing safety. hmmmmmm.)
Hubs is on his way now, and stuck in holiday resort traffic, to get to the only 24 hour pharmacy in the area--30 miles away.
So, $250 in emergency room fees later, and we've got some answers, at least.
I'm currently considering adult diapers for the night, though. My coughing is so bad that I can't totally control my bladder when I cough. Again, niiiiiice.

FWIW, most drugs have not been tested for breastfeeding safety. I guess drug companies just don't want to deal with that so they just don't do it. You could consult Medications and Mother's Milk to see if it's listed there. If you don't have access, your local LLL leader does.
I'm glad you have answers - glad there is nothing more serious wrong with B! He must look like a sad little sack, though, huh?
You should feel better in a day or two - I try to only ever take z-packs. They mess up my system the least. Good luck!
Oooh. Hadn't thought of that. Thanks! I do have a homeopathic syrup that is doing an okay job for now. I may just stick with that to avoid more chemical meds.

OMG you just made me feel so much better mentioning the diapers... I TOTALLY thought it was just cuz I was pregnant. Literally peed myself last night as I ran to the bathroom. Thank God I had made it off the couch and DH had no clue. LOL I was embarrassed enough that I had to run to spit up my lungs let alone to pee on myself. Yet here I am telling you... hmm. LOL
I wonder if I should take the antibiotics I have here from the last time when they weren't sure if it was strep or just a cold... or if it'll work itself out on its own.
