Donating gently used blankets?

Does anyone know of a shelter or charity that accepts gently used blankets? I have some that we don't need, but I'd rather donate to someone in need rather than the Goodwill or Value Village.

I tried googling but came up with a lot of different charities and it's hard to go through each website to see what they do/don't accept so I thought I'd see if anyone happens to know of somewhere good to donate to? Thanks!

  • I would see if your police station would be intertested in taking them. I know that ours uses them for when they have to respond to domestic violence calls at night, especially for wrapping up little kids, etc.

Good idea! I will ask some of the officers at work when I am in on Saturday :)

  • Maybe the salvation army or red cross? They could use them when they are helping with disaster relief?
