Re: *****Weekly PG Check-In*****
Good luck Rssn!!
QOTW: i did really good up until about 28 weeks. I was going to body pump class weekly and either walking or doing the elliptical at least 3 other days a week. Then I stopped body pump and just started walking about 2 miles, 3 times a week. Just this week i'm down to 1 mile, 2 times a week. And my crotch is killing me. Last pregnancy i was walking 2-3 miles every day up until the day i delivered!
But i'd like to count chasing DD around as exercise.
Updates: Nothing new to update. I've got an ultrasound scheduled for friday to check baby's position and size.
QOTW: I didn't slow down with a regular yoga practice until the nausea hit the 2nd month. And then it was a little spotty in months 3-4 due to work travel. Now that I'm back from vacation and am not supposed to fly for the rest of the pregnancy, I'm working on doing 75 days of yoga (about 3-4 times a week) until labor kicks in.
I'm also trying to go on walks - take the dog out in the evenings.
Updates: The kid is kicking all the time now, and I feel like I'm finally enjoying pregnancy. Co-workers are noticing my belly, and no one's done anything creepy like try to touch my belly.
I go in for my 24 week appt next week.
QOTW: I was going to bootcamp up until a few weeks ago. I quit for several reasons: I sleep like crap now and can't get up at 5am anymore, I have to modify so much that I end up just doing arm work and walking most of the class, and I can't get through a whole session without REALLY needing to pee (with no facilities nearby). DH and I are now walking every day, mostly in the afternoons. I need to get back to swimming, but then there's the whole getting up at 5am thing again because I work from 7-6 these days, and by 6 I am BEAT!. I would love for DH to keep going to camp. He started in January, but I've been at CG for 2 years now, and I really miss it. But he won't go without me...
Update: I'm getting to the point where I have to choose whether to breathe or tie my own shoes when we go for our walks, and we never get more than a mile before I have to stop in at a store to pee. I swear this boy just loves playing with my bladder! Oh, and I passed my GD test on Monday. YAY!
Congrats Rssn! I'm so excited for you today!
My last bump pic (from 4 a.m. this morning)!
overachiever with the bump pics! lmao!
C'MON BABY RSSN!!!
Question of the week:
Are you exercising during pregnancy? What are you doing and how often? How do you stay motivated?
I am doing zero excercise...I know, I know...I should be doing something but I'm super great at finding excuses not to!

Great (as usual) ***knock on wood***. Part of my left leg goes numb at times but I hear that it is just the baby sitting on a nerve. My BP was great when they checked last Friday so I'm not really concerned about that being outta whack. Hopefully I can add a bump pic to next week's checkin.
Congrats Rssn, can't wait to hear that Dos is here and see pics! Looks like it's your turn now, ssinca!
QOTW - In the beginning I still went to the gym at least twice a week (swimming or elliptical) and we walked a lot. Now I go to the gym once a week (most weeks, just elliptical and some light weights), do yoga once a week, and just started swimming outside again. I try to go for walks, but it's just too hot now.
Updates - Go for 1 hour glucose test tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it b/c I'm convinced that I have GD. Baby is really moving around and I'm feeling some kicks in the ribs this morning for the first time. Not annoying yet, but I can see it getting that way. I think baby is definitely pushing on my bladder. I seriously can't go half an hour without peeing unless I'm asleep. I found someone to squeeze us in a hypnobirthing class so that's exciting, classes start on Sunday. I am not comfortable with how near the end is getting!
I didn't get to check in at all during my last pregnancy so I'm making sure that I do now (even though it's really SUPER early)!
My HCG is still low, which is expected for only being 9dpo when I had blood drawn. My progesterone is 10.7 (which is around where it was last time at 5.5 weeks) so I'm going to start taking Prometrium right away. Luckily I still have some left over from the last time. Going in early tomorrow AM for the second HCG quant draw.
According to my O date, my EDD would be 2/5/2012. And I'm putting it out there now and guessing boy.
QOTW: Um... not really exercising period. I want to, but i'm going to start slow. I went hiking this past weekend and loved it so I want to do more of that, at least until it gets too hot.

Stick, little one, stick! EDD October 15, 2012
I'm trying to stay active as much as possible. My energy level still isn't great but if this is my only complaint then all is well!
No new updates on baby. He's moving like a champ and I love every minute of it!
yay for dos!
QOTW: I was walking but couldn't do it yesterday, the pain in my lower belly is so uncomfortable.;( I'm officially over.it.com - this kid needs to come out NOW.
update: had my 40 week appt yesterday, no change from the past two weeks...booooo! doc stripped my membranes so we'll see if there's any action today or tomorrow, so far nada. ;( ;( ;( if not, I'll go in for an induction next thursday which is what I really wanted to avoid.
hopefullly, dos is here by now!
congrats, austinbride!
QOTW: we try and walk everyday but we don't always make it:) i definitely count chasing and lifting a 27lb toddler as some exercise!
we had a small scare this morning...not fun! had some bloody discharge this morning and more than i thought was normal so i called and they had me come in. the nurse couldn't find the HB with the doppler...freaking my freak! the PA finally found it after a bit...cue the crying:) they checked my cervix and she said it was nice and closed so everything seems ok. they put me on pelvic rest so i'm trying not to lift said 27pounder too much. i have my 20 week appt on tuesday so we'll see how that goes! we had our anatomy scan last week, the babe had super bad position for the dr to see everything so we have to go back in about 3 weeks to get rechecked. he said everything he could see looked good and there was no cause for concern. we didn't think we were going to get gender but at the last minute he kicked his leg out and i'm pretty sure i saw a pee-pee. we are saying we're about 75% sure its a boy but hoping for confirmation at the next US.
wow rssn i cant believe you posted on here, im impressed! you're setting new standards.
QOTW: i had been going to the gym and running but eventually the distance got shorter and it took longer and then i just stopped. i do walk my dog a lot though so im still getting some sort of exercise.
Updates:things are going well. i am creeped out by how many people want to have a conversation with me just cause im pregnant. like the random guy in the post office parking lot who wished me good luck. i am though so ready to stop working! a big plus is my boss is annoying me with all these projects he keeps piling on and all i can think is that in about 2ish weeks he'll have to do them himself! hum, maybe thats why he's so annoyed
Go, Rssn, Go! Nice bump pic!
QOTW: I am probably exercising more now that I am pregnant than I was right before I got pregnant! It's one of the only things that helps with my nausea. I'm just walking on my treadmill at least 3 times a week and we hit Town Lake at least once on the weekend. Motivation has not been difficult, thank goodness. I don't want to gain too much weight this time around. I want to be in top shape for delivery because I want to attempt a VBAC. I would love for the weight to come off easier after baby this time than last time. I'm hoping that keeping up my walking regimen will help.
Update: I had an OB appointment this morning and everything's looking good. The OB did tell me that exercise and maintaining a healthy weight will definitely help in my VBAC attempt, which was motivation enough to keep exercising and eating right. My blood pressure was much better than last time, so that was a relief. Our big u/s is in three weeks and we can't wait to get another peek at the babe and find out what we're having. So excited! Still no bump, just an ever increasing muffin top. Oddly enough, I'm still fitting just fine in my regular clothes.
QOTW: I had been doing pretty good about exercising every other day, whether it was a yoga DVD or the gym, but once I started working (around 20 weeks) that went out the window. I am too tired to do anything after work, chasing toddlers all day is enough exercise for me! I have been doing good with doing my Bradley exercises daily so that's good.
Update: I'm doing good and feeling great! Doing my glucose test sometime this week so I'm crossing my fingers to pass that.
Good luck!!!
QOTW: I had every intention of keeping up with my workout routine, but the 1st trimester nausea kicked my a$$. So that was a huge setback and it was hard for me to get back into it after I started feeling better. I went ahead and put my gym membership on hold and I'm counting chasing a toddler around as my exercise. Also, I had been going to yoga once a week - but this was my last week since C 'graduated' (my little baby is turning 2!).
Update: Still feeling good and keeping busy. I'm excited that my parents have their flights booked - they will be here the week before my due date. yay!
And I have one more '2-week' appointment before I start going once a week - yikes!
Congrats cia and rssn!
QOTW: I've been trying to walk with C and the dog daily, but it is so freakin' hot that I've been slacking off. I need to start it up again, I think I'll have to be out there before 8.
Update- Nothing really. Getting a noticeable bump which I love. Feeling good and excited to see baby next week at our anatomy scan.
