Food Allergy

Magdusia

Since our kiddos have the same allergies, here is a sample of today's menu: (i apologize if the format is strange--posting from my ipad). Breakfast: fruit salad (pears, bananas, grapes, oranges, strawberries), Lenders plain bagel with grape jelly. Lunch: McCain all natural sweet potato fries, tyson anytizer chx fries, broccoli Snack: veggie straws Dinner: Barilla spaghetti, meatballs, caulliflour, applesauce Snack: Delmonte Cherry flavored fruit chillers Drinks: water, diluted apple juice Vitamins: Gummy Vites, calcium gummy bears. We mostly serve fruits, meats (although they dont really eat a lot of meat), veggies. This is what the boys ate today. btw-I did order the cookbook :-)

Re: Magdusia

  • thanks! i have to look into Lenders plain bagels.  Right now i found a bagel shop that has bagels my son can have but they also make eggs in the store and i feel like I'm taking a too big of a chance by getting them from there.

Looks like your son is good with meat -that's huge!  my son eats one sausage link every 3 weeks.  I offer different meat every other day and he's just not interested. he use to gag from it so we though he had some oral allergy but he's just so sensitive.

thanks for the list.. i have to go get those bagels!

i just found pitas that he can have from a local farmers market and i'm psyched. it's amazing how excited you get when you find a food your child can have and that you don't have to slave in the kitchen to make it.

now that i think of it.. i remember looking at the recipes for those bagels but he couldn't have them b/c he use to be allergic to sesame and they had traces of sesame.  I need to revisit my "pre-sesame" allergy checklist.
