I just got off the phone with the Priest at the Church that we want to have our baby baptized at, which is also where we got married. They do baptisms one day a year because they are only open from May through October. The date they've chosen this year is August 21st, my due date is July 10th. I don't think that is too early to be doing this, but the Priest asked several times during the phone call if I was sure I wanted to do it that early.
So my question is, is it too early??
Re: Baptism question...
No? I mean, strict Catholics (not sure if you're Catholic) don't even take the baby out of the house before they're baptized.
I was going to have mine Aug 7 (due Jul 16) but cant for unrelated reasons -- and actually think its LATE to have to wait until October.
I agree with PP Catholic's usually do it pretty early. We're putting ours off until Oct. only because H's sister and bil are the God parents and coming out from Texas- so we just did our best to accommodate to them, if it wasn't for that though we'd probably do it Aug. also.
