anyone have rosacea?

I have been dealing with acne for the last several months. So not what I want to deal with at my age but on Friday, the dermatologist diagnosed me with rosacea. I am now using Metrogel, taking an antibiotic and using another cream as well Klaron.

Just wondering if anyone else has it and whether the metrogel works?  My face is a god awful mess. Luckily make-up will cover most of it up.

I was just diagnosed a couple weeks ago with rosacea as well. I'm using metrocream. It seams  to be working pretty good so far! It took about a week for me to be able to notice the difference. Good Luck!

I have rosacea. I developed it with my second pregnancy and it never went away. I was on oracea (antibiotic) and metrogel and that combo worked really well for me. I'm off both right now because I'm pregnant again.

A few other things I've found really helpful since being off my meds:

-A super gentle cleanser. I've been using Fresh Soy Cream Cleanser and I love it

-Sunscreen, everyday, as high of an SPF as you can find. Needs to be in addition to your moisturizer. Sun really makes my redness flare

-Gentle exfoliation. I use a Clarisonic facial brush every other day and it really helps

-Yellow or green tinted primer under makeup, plus mineral makeup really helps to cover the redness for me

I also have been using Fresh's Umbrian Clay treatment bar 3 times a week and I think its really, really helped. Its pricey, but it lasts a LONG time. Well worth it

I've been using finacea and a topical antibiox religiously for over a year now and my skin looks great finally!  Very little rosacea and no more cystic acne either. 

ITA with the sunscreen rec too.  I use Positively Radiant tinted moisturizer from Aveno and I think it's helped with the redness a bit too.
