S/O baths and books

Reading through all the responses with what to do with an hour reminded me...

I don't like to and never will read in the bath.  How do you not get the pages wet?  Maybe I'm "doing it wrong" but I've never been able to see how that is relaxing.  Is it just me?

  • I just try to not get my hands wet in the first place and I keep a dry towel on the corner of the tub for those times when I touch the water or accidently forget.

Even still it seems like then you have to keep your arms up and it never is comfortable. This is why I'm not a bath person. If I had a tv in my bathroom I could hang out for hours. But reading in the bath never worked for me either.

I don't take baths either, but I also don't read much.  I like the idea of a tv in the bathroom, though!  I could watch while doing my hair and stuff instead of craning and trying to see/hear the one in the bedroom.

This exactly.  I LOVE reading in the bath.  Sometimes I read for so long I have to add more hot water.  It is my favorite thing to do to relax.

Me too! I love that this house has a nice big tub. Perfect for reading in!

  • Our plan when we bought our house was to do a bathroom remodel in 2 years...so in our garage just waiting is my jacuzzi tub (with inline heater to keep water warm) and my flat screen TV...they're both going to be ancient relics before we get around to remodeling at the rate we're going (we've been in the house for 7 years now)
