Do babies fake hiccups?

I'm telling you,she is faking it.  As soon as I put DD down, she begins having hiccups and as soon as I pick her up, hiccups are gone.

    LOL I suppose anything is possible!  Maybe it's a sound like hiccups he's making to get attention, or practicing making sounds.  Or maybe this is LO's newest game!

    Hiccups are an involuntary spasm of the diaphragm. Hiccups can be related to reflux, reflux is worsened when a baby is laying flat on their backs so that may be the cause.
