Nervous- MFM appointment tomorrow

After my ultrasound last week I had posted that I was worried baby B had a 2 vessel cord... which doesnt neccessarily mean problems... but that with the fact that the babies share a placenta had me worried.

Well I had an appointment with my OB the next day and he confirmed that yes I was right... and that he would like me to see a MFM.

I was assuming that my appointment would be a month or two away (around 28 weeks) since that seems to be the norm with a couple other MoMs in the area who were reffered... WELL. Got a call last Friday and I'm in with the MFM TOMORROW. So of course I'm worried by the fact that they got me in so quickly...

So wish us luck! I'm extremely nervous and hoping all goes well since the MFM is over 2 hours away and I REALLY dont want to have to make my bi-weekly trips up there to see her rather than my local OB.

Good luck!  I started seeing an MFM at 11 weeks - I don't think going now is anything to worry about.

Nope, Unfortunately not. This is the closest... Closest NICU too!

I just saw my MFM for the first time yesterday.  I actually asked for a referral from my OB because she doesn't regularly do them unless there are concerns.  I can't tell you how much better I feel now.  Since I have no issues now he wants to have monthly visits in addition to my routine OB appointments.  I feel better knowing that I am being monitored closely now.  I relate because I also have to drive over 2 hours one way for the MFM and pay a $50 copay each time.  Best of luck to you.
