I've been having a can of chunk light tuna (not the solid white) every other weekend and loving it.....that is a craving that is hard to resist. I'm well below the recommended limit which I believe is approx a can each week, so all is good.
Maybe try chicken from a can and make it the way you would tuna and see if it works. If not have a tiny amount and then don't eat it again for at least 1 month. Honestly my friend was craving it all the time and was eating it all the time before she knew it was bad and her baby is fine.
You do know that you are allowed tuna, right? You just have to watch how much of it you eat.
This!
"
The FDA had released prior guidelines about safe fish intake, but the
latest recommendations finally address tuna. Women of childbearing age,
pregnant and nursing women, and children may:
* Eat up to 12 ounces a week of canned light tuna and other
low-mercury fish, such as salmon, shrimp, catfish, pollock, and fish
sticks.
* Eat up to 6 ounces of fresh or canned albacore (white) tuna. They have more mercury than light tuna.
* Eat up to 6 ounces of locally caught fish.
* Avoid large fish, such as shark, swordfish, king mackerel, and tilefish, which have the most mercury."
I eat all kinds of fish. I have to really be craving tuna to eat it though, and then I will only eat it with crackers. As long as you're not eating it everyday for lunch and dinner you will be FINE!

I eat a can of albacore tuna once every two weeks. I don't like the chunk light. I also crave tuna like crazy! OB says its fine and website conquer. EAT the TUNA!
Does he know that you're allowed to eat tuna? Just not a lot of it. I have a tuna sandwich from Jimmy John's every now and again (like once a month) and everything's great. Besides, some fish is really good for you as long as you keep things in moderation. The people on here to almost kill themselves over trying to avoid every little food drives me nuts.
