Where did this name come from? Is there a specific ethnicity it is associated with, or maybe that it originated with? I've seen it numerous times now, is it made up?
BTW- Totally just curious...we already have our name picked out, this is not it.
Totally agree. One of our boy names was Jackson (spelled the 'correct' way) but I have gotten so annoyed with all of the Jackson/Jaxon/Jaxson names lately we decided against it!

My dog is named Jax after the general hospital character who was named (and he is a Jack Russell). His first name was Jasper however ( not sure if he is still on the show or not), this was 10 years ago...

Re: Jax
I thought it was a nickname for Jaxon.
Jaxon, to my knowledge, has no specific ethnicity. I figure it was made up to be a less popular way of spelling Jackson.
Baby Boy born sleeping at 20 weeks.
Amen.
It is also what my 19 month old son calls our cat, because he can't fully pronounce Jackson.
