Leftover Plastic Eggs???

What do you do with all the plastic eggs when Easter is over? All together my boys have had 4 Easter parties, plus actual Easter on Sun. My house looks like the Easter Bunny exploded. Plastic eggs everywhere! I hate throwing them all away, I guess I could store them until next year but I know what will happen then, I'll forget where I put them and buy more next year Hmm. If I lived in the city I'd bag 'em up to be recycled, guess I could do that anyway...So anyway, what do you with yours ??

  • Stick them in a bag, store with other holiday stuff and use again next year.

This.  They have eggs in the styles they love - don't want to have to look for camo eggs every year!

  • yeah, my holiday closet is a mess so maybe I should get that organized so they won't get swallowed up. I saved mine from last year and then forgot about it until after I'd already bought new ones Sad

  • I store them with all of our other holiday stuff. We reuse the same eggs/baskets every year.

FWIW, you can get color-coded Rubbermaid totes for storage: green/red for Christmas decorations, pastel colored ones for Easter, black/orange for Halloween, etc. It's made it MUCH easier to keep our holiday stuff organized and to be able to find it when it's time to haul it out!

This.  If you absolutely don't want to store them, bag them up and donate to a church that does an egg hunt - they will store them, for sure!

I do the color-coded Rubbermaid totes for all of our decorations. I am a little OCD, so it's more than just helpful for me. It makes walking into our storage building a whole lot easier & it makes my FI a much happier man when I get ready to decorate!!

Oh I will do this! I have the red and green for Christmas but all our other holiday stuff is just in random cardboard boxes. I am horrible at organization, I need serious help!

  • My DD loves to play with them, put stuff in them etc. so they stay in her closet in the basket & she pulls them out throughout the year.

  • We store some with the Easter decorations and then donate whatever we don't need to the preschool for their hunt next year.
  • I have two ideas.

you can string them on a ribbon (just snap them onto a length of ribbon or yarn, and hang them up like garland or something..)

you can stuff them up your crotch and surprise your husband with a chicken impression!

This. I store them in a ziploc bag with my Easter decorations and reuse them each year.
