Cloth Diapering

home made fleece liners

I have a bunch of fleece, and I'm planning on cutting some up into liners. how big should I make the newborn's to go in homemade newborn prefolds that measure 11"x14" with the soaker area being 5" wide? I'm planning on the jelly roll fold. I am mostly going to use them to protect the diapers from the maconium as I don't want to spend much time trying to get it off as I am the only one who will be washing/handling the diapers as my husband refuses.

Should I cut them 5" x13" or make them shorter? Don't know baby's gender if that is a factor.

Re: home made fleece liners

  • I think 5x13 sounds about how big my store bought fleece liners are.  If they are too big you can always fold them or cut them smaller!  Fleece is pretty cheap

And, don't worry, my DH doesn't really do diapers either.
