    No- you could always call her Sophie or Lucy when she is little if you want something more cutesy.

    i love it and i don't think it's too old sounding since both of those names have been pretty well revived. i think it's very pretty [and i generally stay away from popular names].

    Why is it a problem if it's "grown up" sounding?  Your child will be a woman for much more of her life than a little girl.  I think the name is really nice.

    My daughter's name is Sophia Lucille so of course I think it is a beautiful name. We call her Sophie, Sophie Lu, Sophie Lu-lu. It is a very cute name and we get compliments all of the time. I liked it because it is traditional and trendy right now too.
