2nd Trimester

Movement at 25 Weeks

Hello Girls, I know this has probably been asked 1000 times but im asking it again.  Sometimes my baby moves ALL the time and then there are days where there is hardly any movement at all.  Should I be worried or is this a normal thing?

 TIA :)

Re: Movement at 25 Weeks

  • As long as you are feeling something, you are most likely fine. I had 2-3 days in week 28ish were I felt almost nothing, then bam day 3 he was crazy. I think it was a growth spurt.

Drink something cold and lay down. See if you feel 5-10 movements in an hour or so.

  • baby is sleeping a lot!  14 hrs a day I read.  So baby could be just chillin.  I agree with PP, as long as you feel some movement, its all good.

  • At 25 weeks it is still fine to feel very little movement as long as you feel something. This happens to me every few days or so.

  • I think it's normal and all depends.

Apparently because I'm a bigger girl and have an anterior placenta I only feel my little girl a few times a day....but every time I have an u/s or the doc tries to use the doppler to get the heartbeat they practically have to chase her around to get what they need!

  • No worries.  They have active days and lazy days, just like us.
  • That sounds pretty normal for my little guy. I generally don't feel him if I'm up & about. If I haven't felt him much by the time I get home from work, I usually lie down & then I can feel him moving around. Some days he seems to have little movements that I really have to pay attention to if I want to feel them, and some days he's just going crazy in there.
