Party timing question

I am getting ready to do R's 3rd birthday party invites.

I am thinking 1pm to 4pm on the invite.

If we were invited to a 1pm to 4pm party would you expect to have lunch?

We would do some appitizers but were trying to not do a lunch spread. So just snackies, cake and ice cream.

Re: Party timing question

  • No meal needing in my world!

  • Nope, some snacks/fruit would be fine before cake.

  • Are you inviting other kids?  If they are still napping then 1-4 will be right in the middle of naptime.  You could do something like 3-5 and then you would miss lunch and still be before dinner?

  • Collin's party is 1-3:30 and we are serving a light buffet-style lunch.

I generally think that 11-1 is lunch, 2-5 is snack and 5-on is dinner.

  • 1-4, no I would no expect snacks, but I would expect most people won't show up until 2/2:30 due to naps.

  • I would not expect lunch but none of our friends could go at that time because of naps. Ben naps from 2-4. And at three pretty much all of our friends napped starting between 1 and 2.
