Any other single moms to be preparing for a child with zero help from the father?

I'm due tomorrow!  But haven't spoken to Barrett's biological father in several months.  It was hard at first (watch it for all the DH comments on your month boards; those are tough to take) and it is very difficult to be pregnant and alone, but it does get easier.

That being said, I will be "involving" my son's biological father by filing for child support after he is born.  I can't and won't force him to be in active Barrett's life, but he does have a legal financial obligation to take care of him, as does your child's father.

Thanks for the support!  i will also be filing for child support.  I highly doubt he will try for any sort of custody( although he has threatened).  It is still hard because we were together for 3.5 years and went from living together to not speaking at all.  Other than c/s payments he will probably have little to no role in his daughter's life.
