So a coworker of mine started asking me a lot of questions about diapers and what my plans are for this baby and finally after discussing very detailed details, I discovered that she is planning on throwing some sort of diaper shower thing.
I'm not sure how I feel about it. I will definitely be grateful for anything I receive, but I think she is planning on telling people what specific diapers and sizes. (I used nothing but Pampers for my 2 girls.)
I have told pretty much anyone who has asked if I am having a shower that we have all the necessities since I kept everything from my first 2. So I just don't know how to receive this and if its going to be considered tacky or grabby or what.
We are team green this round too.
Re: Co-workers & Diaper Shower?
Yes I am close to most of my coworkers and also I will not be returning to work after this baby is born. So after almost 10 years of working here it will be bitter sweet. Plus, we do like to eat. ;o)
Glad to hear (so far) that it seems like we aren't crossing any no-no lines.
'Til He returns, or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I stand.
Work showers are usually different to me since most people want any excuse to step away from their desks and eat some cake
Maybe she is going the diaper route since you do have children already.
If they ask if you want a shower, then I would decline, but if they throw one for you then go, have fun and enjoy a party with your co-workers.
