We have decided on Callie for a first name, but we're struggling with a middle name. We would really like the middle name to have meaning to us, but it's been a struggle deciding. For a while, and it's still a possibility....we were thinking of Madison. That was the first name that came to us because Madison (we called her Maddie) was our beloved dog that passed away last year. She meant the world to us and it went well with Callie. But, I'm still a bit skeptical about using it because it was our dog's name...and EVERYONE will know!
I would love to use a name from my Grandma, but her name was Dorothy Lucille and I don't really like either of those names.
So, here are some of our possibilities, but I'm not "in love" with any of them. Our last name starts with a "C"
Callie Madison
Callie Rae or Callie Maye (I think both of these sound nice, but they seem to be more of a "filler" middle name)
Callie Elizabeth (my middle name is Elizabeth, but I don't love the name)
Callie Reagan
Callie Shaye
Callie Morgan
Callie Elyse
Any thoughts on the above or other suggestions???
Re: Middle name for Callie?
Personally, I love Callie Lucille. I think it flows well and sounds very pretty. My second choice would be Callie Madison since it has meaning to you. I'm a big fan of using a middle name with meaning - it's a great way to honor someone you love.
Hate Callie Rae and Callie Maye and Callie Shaye - they sound really country.

Elizabeth since it is your name and has some meaning.
Callie Ana (ah-na)
Callie Claudette
Callie Lorraine
We have a friend with a two year old named Callie Jane.
If you wanted to use Elizabeth, what about Callie Beth? Just a thought.
I'm agreeing with Callie Lucille... my grandmother's name was Lucille and we have decided to name our LO Lucy after her. I personally did the eye raise when I read that Madison was your dog's name. It may have meaning to you but others around you may do the very same thing.
I actually like the sound of Callie Lucille too. I also like Elizabeth, Elyse, and Shaye.
I wouldn't do the Madison thing - however if you changed the name just a bit so it's not entirely named after your dog so it's super obvious, but still close enough that you can tell your daughter it derived from that I think that would do-able. Something like Callie Madelyn, Callie Matilda...etc etc. just a thought.
Callie is one of my secret favorite names.
Callie Rae was on our list. Callie Maye is also very cute.
If you don't really like your middle name I wouldn't use it.
