Flushable liners?

Does anyone use these?  I bought some but I am nervous that they will cause a clog in the septic system.  Any advice would be great?

Re: Flushable liners?

  • i use the grovia liners, i don't always flush them though. depends on how nasty the poop is

i live in a newer house and there hasn't been any problems with them. but then again i flush maybe 2-3 a week. otherwise i just plop out the poop and toss the liner in the trash.

i will say that i had one liner get caught up in a load of cd's in the wash, and the liner was reduced to just nothing practically.

if you're prone to having issues with your plumbing, i wouldn't flush at all.

  • I also think that alot of the "flushable" liners have warnings about septic systems as well. I'd check on that first! Better safe than sorry :)

  • As pp said check the package for information regarding septic systems.  We use them for my DD but most of the time I don't flush the liner down the toilet.  I will plop the poop in and then toss the liner in the trash.  I didn't want to take any risks with our septic system even though it is a newer system and we have never had any problems.
