My Betsy is an Elizabeth.  I have gotten nothing but positive comments about her name.  People just seem to light up when I say her name is Betsy.  Interestingly, they also seem to not know it's a nickname for Elizabeth.  Every once in a while, people will think I say Becky when I say Betsy.  But I just correct them right away. The only person who only calls her Elizabeth is sMIL, but we think she just doesn't like Betsy.  

My Carly is a Caroline.  That really confuses people.

I do sometimes forget about their formal names so when the pedi's nurse calls for Elizabeth or Caroline, I look around the waiting room, like who is that?  And I'm the only one there!  LOL
